The Kramer Levin Land Use Team represented the owners of six of the seven buildings considered for individual landmarks designation at the July 19th public meeting of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. At this meeting, the Commission calendared the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine Complex for a future public hearing and held public hearings on The Empire State Dairy Building Complex, the Marriott East Side Hotel (formerly the Shelton Hotel), The Lexington Hotel, the Hotel Benjamin (formerly the Hotel Beverly) and the Graybar Building. Land Use Partners Paul Selver, Michael Sillerman, Gary Tarnoff and Elise Wagner and Special Counsel Valerie Campbell provided advice to the owners with respect to the proposed designations and provided testimony in opposition to designation on behalf of the Empire State Dairy, the Hotel Benjamin and the Hotel Lexington.
